BBC: Sundorne pool plan is 'death knell' for Shrewsbury's Quarry facility

Even though the resolution was passed and an 8-week public consultation period will begin soon, some valid comments were made by some councillors at the Council's cabinet meeting about how the a new facility may be the 'death knell' for swimming in the town centre. A previous public survey, conducted by QSAFF, indicates that 68% want to keep the pool in town.
